Ginger Ground Beef (Soboro Donburi)

A quick and easy stir fry ground beef dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup frozen peas (or frozen peas and carrots mix)
  • 1 cup rice, cooked
  • ¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ water
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced (or ½ tsp powdered ginger)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Directions

In a large skillet combine ground beef, soy sauce, cup water and sugar. Cook over medium heat until beef is just browned, aout 8 minutes. Add fresh ginger and frozen peas; continue cooking until most of the liquid has evaporated, about 5 more minutes.

Serve over cooked rice.
