Balsamic Grilled Skirt Steak

A homemade balsamic marinade for skirt steak on the grill.

Ingredients

  • 1 –2 pounds of skirt steak
  • ½ cup balsamic vinegar
  • ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon minced garlic (or garlic powder)
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika

Directions

Mix ingredients to create marinade. Let steak marinate for 30–60 minutes at room temperature, turning halfway through. Remove steaks and discard marinade.

Lightly oil grill and heat to high (450–500° F.) Put steaks on grill and cook to desired doneness, approximately 4–6 minutes per side. Transfer steaks to a cutting board; let stand 5 minutes. Cut across grain into thin slices and serve.
