Cube Steak with Gravy

One of the few ways to make cube steak worth eating. An old family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 4-6 cube steaks
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup water
  • Dash of salt
  • Dash of pepper

Directions

Roll the cube steaks in flour. Brown them in a large skillet with the cooking oil on medium. Remove the cube steaks; combine milk, flour and water in the skillet. Stir, reduce heat to low and put the meat back in the skillet. Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 30 minutes. Serve over rice.
