Crispy Sweet Potato Bake
This casserole has been a hit at family Thanksgivings since my grandmother's time.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups canned sweet potatoes/yams (mashed)
- ¼ cup milk
- ½ cup white sugar
- ¼ cup butter
- 2 eggs
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping
- ¼ cup white flour
- ¼ cup butter
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- ½ cup pecans (chopped)
Directions
Whip sweet potatoes, milk, white sugar, butter and eggs with beater. Blend in vanilla extract. Spread in a casserole dish. Combine topping ingredients and crumble over the mix. Bake at 325° for 20–25 minutes until bubbly. Should serve 4–5.
